With 15 years of business operations experience, Mike Quackenbush has spent the last 10 years with one of Canada’s largest bank-owned insurance companies with a focus in driving simpler, faster, and better measures of processes throughout the enterprise.
Most recently, Mike was responsible for strategic insights and analysis of performance measures and market opportunities for over 50 retail locations, across Canada. Currently, he holds a leadership role in Life and Health Insurance Operations and Client Experience.
Mike spent many years handling the marketing and industry relations for his Burlington-based family business, until it’s closure in 2012. It is during this time that Mike received his Certified Flooring Executive designation, the highest designation offered by the World Floor Covering Association.
Having a passion for genealogy since childhood, Mike is a mentor, speaker, and advocate for heritage preservation. He has previously served on the Board of The Ontario Genealogical Society, where he led the marketing portfolio and hosted the education-based webinars. In 2016, Mike was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 10, “Rockstar” Genealogists.
Mike’s current involvement includes being a Director on the Board of the The Gift of Giving Back, a member of Mayor Rick Goldrings’ Millennial Advisory Committee, a member of the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation‘s Young Professionals Network, as well as being a politically-engaged citizen at multiple levels of government.
